Creativity is essential to innovate and to find new ideas. Creativity is in everyone and can be learned.
Innovation is the process of putting new ideas into practice. Creativity is essential to find new ideas and to innovate.
Despite the deep need for creative people, how many times have I heard “I’m not creative”?
It's because there is a myth around what creativity really is. For a long time, it was considered as a soft, non-economic skill, confined to the arts, a gift for a happy few.
But like Pablo Picasso said: “we don’t grow into creativity; we grow out of it”.
During the last two decades, it has been realised that creativity is in everyone and can be learned and trained.
Because creativity is about working in a highly focused way on projects and ideas, crafting them into their best forms and making critical judgements.
Being creative involves doing things. It is not like imagination that can stay in the mind.
Creativity is an iterative process with constant trial and errors. You need to draft, to do, to try, to fail.
Not understanding this can make people think that they are not creative at all.
Creativity is athletics of the mind. It’s like a muscle: the more you use it, the stronger it gets.
Do you want to train and improve your creativity?
Do you recognise it can be difficult to find new original ideas?
Do you want a creativity toolbox?
